Los Rincones Preserve
138-acre preserve in Kerrville, TX

 About the Preserve

El Coto de Los Rincones is Spanish for “The Preserve of the Corners” - corners referring to the narrow heads of several canyons, a classic feature of the Balcones Canyonlands landscape. This preserve was gifted to TLC in two parts in 1989 and 1999 by the late John Galley and serves as breeding habitat for the endangered Golden-cheeked warbler songbird. Access to the preserve is limited to special events with TLC and during limited periods for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Public Hunting Program. Scenic vistas, oak-juniper forests, and open grasslands provide a beautiful setting to observe native plants and wildlife. Few man-made improvements occur on the property.
