To kick off North Texas Giving Day, Texas Land Conservancy and Susana Cruz of Chicana in Nature have partnered to offer Forest Bathing at Oak Cliff Nature Preserve. Forest bathing is a mindful, slow-paced practice of immersing your five senses in a natural environment. Led by Susana Cruz, this guided experience invites participants to slow down, engage their senses, and deepen their connection with the natural world.
Please arrive by 5:15 pm to check in. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring a water bottle. We highly recommend bringing a hammock, towel, blanket, or yoga mat. Children 12 and up are welcome when accompanied by an adult. There are no restrooms on-site, so plan accordingly before you arrive.
Free to attend | $5 suggested donation
You can also support TLC through North Texas Giving Day (NTGD) August 27 through September 17! NTGD is the largest community-wide giving event in the nation, hosted annually by the Communities Foundation of Texas. Communities Foundation of Texas covers all transaction and technology fees, ensuring 100% of each donation made on the site goes directly to the causes you care about. We're working to raise $10,000 to protect land, save water, and connect people to nature across the state of Texas. Click here to donate between August 27 through Thursday, September 17.
